Inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) persons in the world of work: A learning guide

Preface: The ILO goal of advancing social justice and promoting decent work cannot be achieved without protecting the rights at work for everyone, and ending discrimination on all grounds, including based on sexual orientation and gender identities (SOGI). Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTIQ+) workers face discrimination, exclusion, violence and harassment throughout the employment cycle, from work colleagues and supervisors as well as clients and customers. SOGI-based discrimination is often compounded by discrimination on other grounds, such as race, health and economic status.
