TPLP

We are hiring! Join our team as an office assistant today.

Dearest gentle reader, I know the cleaning of your house and/or organising your space doesn’t happen by accident. In the same way, behind every productive meeting, successful workshop and smooth day at work is someone making sure the little things are taken care of.

Yes, those little things matter, and you can be the super-human who makes all that possible for us.

At Think Positive Live Positive Support Initiative (TPLPI), we believe that meaningful community work needs a strong support system behind the scenes, and as a youth-led civil society organisation advancing dignity, health, rights, inclusion and wellbeing for marginalised communities in Nigeria, we’re looking for a reliable, proactive and organised individual to join our team as an Office Assistant.

If you’re someone who takes pride in keeping spaces clean, staying organised, supporting others and making sure things get done, this opportunity might be for you.

Who We Need?

We don’t need someone with an impressive job title or years of experience to make a meaningful contribution. Well, if you have, then that’s fine too! 😊

What matters most is your ability to organise, reliability, willingness to learn and commitment to doing your work well.
You should have:

  • At least an SSCE or equivalent qualification. Additional office administration training is an advantage.
  • Experience in cleaning, office upkeep, administration, hospitality, facilities management or NGO operations is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and/or Google Workspace tools like email, Word, etc., and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Good time management, recordkeeping, communication and attention to detail.
  • Trustworthiness, punctuality, discretion, initiative and respect for people from diverse communities.
  • Ability to carry out office cleaning and maintenance tasks safely, attend the Meiran office when required and complete authorised Lagos-area errands.

A Quick Note About the Hybrid Work Arrangement

Yes, the role offers hybrid scheduling, but there’s something important you should understand before applying.

Hybrid does not mean you’re automatically off duty on remote-work days. You’ll still be expected to remain available during regular working hours, respond to your supervisor and attend the office when operational needs arise.
This could include receiving deliveries, coordinating repairs, preparing for meetings or supporting authorised partner visits.

Occasional weekend or public holiday assignments may also be required, with arrangements managed under TPLPI’s HR policy and applicable law.

Ready to Apply? Here's How!

Interested candidates should submit a CV and a short cover letter highlighting relevant experience in office administration, inventory management and coordination.
